Recently, an application got trending on Google Play Store.

This app, named ‘Remove China Apps’, shows the status of whether your phone has any Chinese apps installed or not.

Just before this app, famous app TikTok was highly downrated by the ‘Netizens’ of India, a lot of YouTubers opposing the app took this protest on an international stage. All these activities came up after the announcement of ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ by our Hon’ Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The question is, will uninstalling an app from your device help us? If yes then how much,?

Many of the netizens who shared the screenshots of uninstalling some of the apps from their phone, forgot that they were using the entire smartphone manufactured in China, one of them is ‘Xiaomi’. Can we really boost Indian products in this manner? Probably we are all doing a huge mistake. Simple a click on your phone does not even affect the 1% of our economy. It’s appreciatable that citizens all together wished to bring the Indian economy all to a boost, but they ended up with a foolish task.

Not only one company or one app or one device, in fact, the moment we are born, till the moment we die, we’ve been using a lot of Chinese products either knowingly or unknowingly.

“A GLANCE OF OUR DAY TO DAY PRODUCTS FROM CHINA”

  1. Do you bath daily? Sadly, many of the plastic buckets are basically from China.
  2. Crockeries?? you may find the Chinese language on many of them.
  3. Waterbottles/LunchBoxes, especially kids material are all from China.
  4. Your vehicle? Many body parts of your vehicle are imported there.
  5. Your Laptop — DELL, HP, LENOVO, ASUS, ACER, APPLE? Can you say a name without the use of any Chinese component?
  6. Your cell phone — MI, SAMSUNG, iPhone? All of them use Chinese ‘chipset’ (Remember Snapdragon? — The most used one)

The list is very long, but can you live without any of them?

At least I cannot survive without any of them.

So the question is what about ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’?

There are very small things we can do to boost this up. We can slowly reduce the use of these kinds of stuff from our lives. There are a lot of Indian options for many of these things. India has a huge production of plastic products, crockeries, Waterbottles, Lunchboxes, etc.

The next time you visit a store to buy something, just ask for the Indian products and confirm by reading on its label.

The next time you purchase a phone, a laptop, a headphone, prefer a brand that is not purely Chinese, No doubt that it will contain a Chinese component, but a little component is better than the whole device. e.g. Samsung, Apple, HP, etc.

Let’s truly support Atmanirbhar Bharat, understand the reality, and stop the nonsense of uninstalling.
